Yes, in addition to being an accomplished actor, Keanu Reeves is also a really, really good person. His random acts of kindness include secretly donating large sums of money to children’s hospitals.

He jumped out of his car to sign a fan banner left on the ground: The John Wick actor made hearts melt back in July 2019 when it was revealed he autographed a handmade sign that was left on the way to the set of his most recent movie.

He’s continually respectful of women in photos: In June 2019, fans on Twitter noticed that Reeves doesn’t hold women while posing with them for photos – and the actor’s endearing habit quickly went viral, with fans celebrating the star for his respect for women.

Reeves once gave up his seat on the New York City subway to a woman with a large bag: The John Wick star made headlines in 2015 when he was filmed graciously giving up his subway seat to a fellow passenger with a heavy bag.

He once bought an ice cream just so he could autograph the receipt for a young fan: A heartwarming story about Reeves and a young fan went viral when it was shared in May 2019. SBNation.com writer and producer James Dator took to Twitter to share the touching experience he had with Reeves while working at a cinema as a teenager. The writer tried to get Reeves’ autograph, but wasn’t successful. However, things began to look up for the young Keanu Reeves fan.

“I know that the ones who love us, will miss us.”

This is what Keanu said when Stephen Colbert asked him what happens to us when we die.

He understands misery unlike anybody else in Hollywood.

His dad left when he was 3. He struggled with dyslexia, attending 4 different high schools before dropping out. His best friend died of a drug overdose at 23. His girlfriend, Jennifer Syme, had a stillbirth 8 months into pregnancy. She later died in a car accident not too long after.

Even with his hardships, he hasn’t let his success get to his head.

He helped his sister get cured of leukemia, and since then has donated an anonymous amount of money to hospitals that treat the disease through his private charitable foundation.

He’s worth over a couple hundred million dollars, but he still takes the subway.

He doesn’t really have many fancy things.

It is rumored that he gave up a considerable portion of his pay for the latter two Matrix films so that the stunt and design and costume teams could help make the movie as amazing as possible.

Many sources claim the amount he cut from his own pay ranged just a touch above $30 million.

When his flight had an emergency landing enroute to Los Angeles in Bakersfield, he not only opted to rent a large vehicle and drive the rest of the way, but he took a good number of people on the flight with him.

He’s known for paying attention to detail—there is a story about him on Twitter where he bought an ice cream just to get the receipt paper so he could autograph it for a fan. He later tossed that ice cream away.

He is one of the few actors who gets to know everybody working on the set of his projects. Several accounts of him genuinely asking people about their day and wellbeing. There is a photo of him taking a break from filming John Wick 2 just to walk a pit bull in New York City:

He treats everybody with the same amount of kindness. This means everyone:

Someone on Reddit recalled a friend who was stranded on the highway outside Los Angeles. Keanu Reeves pulled up, tried to jump the car to no success, and then drove her 50 miles out of the way to get her home. Not only that, he gave her his number to call in case she needed help with anything.

When he found out one of the crew members on the set of John Wick was struggling, he gave him $20,000 as a Christmas bonus.

There is another story of him giving every member of his stunt team for The Matrix a Harley Davidson.

Keanu just loves.

He is love incarnate.

There is no additional component to his character. He’s stayed the same human throughout the worst and the best in his life. He’s pure.

And people see that.

Hey!

  1. You are just 3 years old. You don't know the meaning of 'Father' but still you know this is the only hand you can trust. Out of nowhere your father leaves you ,Get divorced from your mum. You hint her about father, but she is also confused about how to tell meaning of 'divorce' to a 3 year old.
  2. Later you join High-School but have to change it 4 times because you have Dyslexia. A learning disorder where you can't even read a word. No friends. So lonely!
  3. Still you move on with your life, manage to get a best friend. But he dies because of drug overdose.
  4. Coping with this, you find the love of your life. You become happy that you are going to be a father. And on the day of delivery, doctor says sad faced that your child is stillborn (dead).
  5. Still you move on with your life, and your girlfriend dies in car accident.
  6. You come to know that your sister has Leukaemia . And you don't know if she is going to live or not.

You can't even imagine so much pain, but this man had it all.

I still wonder, how he recovered from this shock and such loneliness.

Such harsh things break your soul dawn to dusk but still he wakes up, fights with reality single handedly every single time.

Coping with grief, he got the offer to work in 'Matrix' (1999). The movie which made $450 million.

But he donated 70% of his income to help people with Leukaemia .

Wow! After all the struggle and bad time, when good things finally happened, this man invested this to make other people happy.

Also he is a perfect example of being a Gentleman.
